Embossed Leaves

I wanted to try my hand at Michelle Zindorf's wonderful style again. She is such a talented artist and I love her technique and cards! So here is my version of one of hers. I am not very successful with my brayer but do like to sponge! The leaf stamps are by TAC. I know it is not the proper season for this but sometimes you have to do what moves you!
We stopped by Steve's college on Monday and dropped off most of his belongings but he wanted to spend Monday night at home as some kids were still in finals carried over from Dec and the ice storm! So yesterday he went back (his college is only about 35 minutes from here- very convenient!) and Mike had left a little over a week ago. Seems like I should have lots of time now, tons of stuff to catch up on. I think I have to do some long range planning though because Mike graduates this year and I know he will be coming back to live while he settles in to seek a job. I feel badly for the graduating kids this year, it is a tough job market!
Anywho, Mom and I went shopping went shopping yesterday after dropping Steve off. We went to JoAnne's, Michael's AC Moore and our local stamp store. I have not been to any of these in ages and I had a fun day. I was looking to see what was on clearance and did manage to find some goodies but most has been sold already. I did buy some paper at Joanne's. It was on sale for 6/$1.00 and I simply can not resist that price even though I do not need another piece! I was fun though! Michael's had their $1.00 spot Christmas items on sale for 3/$1.00 so I picked some stuff up for next year. Their gift card tins at 3/$1.00 are a great price and can be covered with paper and have a little room for some sort of food goodie. I think perhaps I should have picked up some other small tins at this price but was unsure of what I was going to do with them so I passed. I will probably regret it but I am trying not to stockpile too much as I am finding I use less than I used to.
Off to clean today... Have a nice one! debbPosted by Picasa

HOLY MOLY you made that whollllllllllllle FANNNNNNNNNCY card just with stamps and ink?!?! (& a boatload of talent, obviously!) i thought for sure those were either silk-flower-type leaves or at least cut-out-n-decoupaged ones! cannot *IMAGINE* how ya did it, but the result is ♥magnificent♥ in any season!
