Krafty Kard

Caardvarks is having a krafty challenge, kraft paper that is. Here is my entry. I used SU Kraft (maybe Confetti?) card stock for the card base, a layer, and the sentiment inside the frame. The alphabet dp is Die Cuts With a View, the frame is A Mind's Eye, The column like things are actually the letter H, cut apart, from some alphabet punch outs by My Mind's Eye, the stamp is by Paper Inspirations, ink by SU, eyelets by Making Memories. Sewing and distressing was done to achieve the layers. I like the look of the card and decided to stop adding to it as I was afraid I would detract from the masculine feel of it. By the way, I often use thinking of you as a sentiment for the outside of cards because then I can add anything to the inside- even "On Your Birthday". It makes the cards versatile when I do not have an exact use for them yet. I usually finish the inside when I decide what, who, why and where to send it to!

Love how you turned your "H" into a fun design element.

I love Kraft for a card - this card looks so 'gothic-y' super design for a masculine card - so clever to make the H a frame for your sentiment!

the frame is AN H??!?!? i bow to you for sheer cleverness in repurposing! it's awesome! as is the rest of the card...i loooooove the layers and the stitching and the distressed edges. YUM!!! (& i am SOOOOO with you on the subject of not committing to a particular sentiment unless the card is being made for a specific purpose!!!)
