Happy Mother's Day #1

Posted by Picasa
CPS 111 is a great sketch, however, I have interpreted it very loosely- sometimes these things happen! This design started with the ribbon accents on the side. This ribbon roll was sitting out staring at me and I knew I had to work it into a card. The width of the ribbon presented the first challenge with the sketch - I simply could not make four of these look good without creating a gigantic card! So to go with the sketch, there are three of these and the fourth element is the line across the bottom. Next I had to find some paper to go with the ribbon, backwards, I know! I had this Colorbok book of punch outs with this frame shape and loved it with the ribbon so that was that, I found the DCWV solid teal (Robin) and knew I could throw a card together. The scroll die cuts and Mom letters are sizzix dies and the stamp PSX. See I told you last night I would post a pix of the full stamp!
I know I have not made many cards this week and am sad to think this trend will continue into most of next week as well. Sometimes I have other things to do LOL. Oh well, I suppose I should not be doing my hobbies all day long BUT I want to!
