Finally, I get to do a Challenge!

Wow does this feel good! I stayed up last night and made a card. I have missed my mess - it seems odd to see this room without any piles of paper scrap, ink pads and tools. ( Please do not think I do not have other messes to occupy me, I have plenty, it's just that this area is my favorite!). This card is made based on Carla's recipe over at Use It (13). I have to say, this challenge would have been easier if my scraps were still strewn all over the place as they usually are, but no, I had to actually search thru my scraps. The rules were (in my words), scrap only, a lot of bling, a die cut, and optional- 4 design papers. I did get the four papers in, although the forth is just the tiny corners and probably could have been left off except I did need to disguise my crooked stitches! The die cut is a sizzix heart die, used upside down and then mounted with a partial piece of the die to create a base (I see a future Christmas tree here- do you?). The papers are all scrap pieces that you may recognize from other cards I have made, and the bling, WELL, there is a lot of bling here for me but I am unsure if it is a lot in others eyes. I simply do not have a lot of bling options and tend to like subtle rather than blingy so my supplies in that area may be somewhat lacking. But, I did sew (yes, I said sew- much less messy than glue for me!) a bead to each flower center and I think the satin bow is a bit blingy as it it shiny. I know- I am pushing it!
Today is a beautiful day, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the chipmunks scurrying. Sounds like I should go out and garden, doesn't it. Nope, not me, I am really hoping to get to some of the garage sales in the village wide sale just down the road! Not sure if I will make it but am going to try! I do not usually go to them on Sat but more and more are only open on Sat so I may have to sneak some in (I reserve Fun Friday for sales or other fun, that way it never takes away from family). By the way every Friday is supposed to be some sort of Fun Friday - be it garage sales, shopping, seeing friends, what ever, although sometimes things get in the way. I also have mail Monday- time to do bills and paperwork. See I try to be organized! It just doesn't work very well........
