Caardvarks is having a window card challenge and here is my take on it. Though it does not show in this picture, there is acetate over the window/birdcage cut out. I used the negative part of a sizzix tag die to form the birdcage, lined it with bits and bobs of paper to create the cage. The flowers are a combo of spellbinder die and silk flowers. The letters are vinyl letters from a garage sale. The texture of the brown paper was not captured by the camera but IRL, it has a nice texture that adds to the overall feel of the card. The challenge is sponsored by Purple Onion Designs and wow do they have some super stamps! I have my eye on quite a few....
Today was Fun Friday. We visited lots of garage sales, I bought some stamps and scrap booking stuff, some "jewels" and beads, along with a hammock (to replace an old ripping one that has outlived it's useful life BTW, it was also purchased at a garage sale quite a number of years ago), and four wallpaper books that I can not wait to get into for some neat papercrafting! Perhaps I will be motivated to create......I love Fun Fridays!
