And yes, the little guy saw his shadow so guess what- 6 more weeks of winter! Big surprise right? Actually- I don't want to jinx us, but we have had a fairly mild one! Seems as though the south is getting more snow than we are in upstate NY! This card is for a very quick (lightening!) challenge at OWH Stars and Stamps Challenge Blog. I don't think my sentiment shows up real well in the photo but it says "Sorry". Thought it was a cute saying for this card - oh and can you see his shadow on the card? Okay, I know the recipient will not realize it was about groundhog day but I do think it's a cute card for anything- sorry... to hear you are sick, sorry, I missed your birthday, etc.One more quick note, I may have broken a cardinal rule with this card. Hear me out on this. I used a digi stamp from Dawn Moore - Lost in Paper Scraps. She makes these most amazing digi stamps and has tons of freebies on her blog. Go look. Oh and about that broken rule (big sorry here Dawn) but this was a beaver and I cut off his tail for this challenge to make him into a groundhog. I know I am not supposed to alter the image but it was an emergency. I hope you understand.... On a happy note, I know it's hard to see in the photo but don't you love his wire frame glasses I made for him????

Cute! I really like his glasses and how you did the shadowing.
He's so cute - love that you turned a beaver into a groundhog! LOL! And yes, the shadow and sentiment are perfect! Great job.
Cute card! Love the groundhog image you used!
Oh this is very cute!
oof! if *ANYTHING* missus digi will sell MORE if they can be beavers OR groundhogs! looooooooove this--again, it's a BRILLIANT use/adaptation of an existing item...and also the sentiment ROCKS! (ps: i love the adorable spectacles, but if he didn't HAVE those maybe he would *NOT* have seen his shadow and we'd be sunbathin' today!!!) (it's ok, you just didn't THINK IT THRU!!!) :) :) :)
